This week, the Japanese company has published a new teaser revealing new features of the appearance of the future SUV. What will it be like?
The GX, which is essentially a luxury version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV, appeared in 2002. After 7 years, the second generation debuted, which, after several restylings, is still produced to this day. The time has long come to change the generation, and soon a completely new car will be presented to the world. In the middle of this month, we already made renderings of the new GX based on the first two teasers, but now we have the opportunity to see part of the shape of the sidewalls and stern of the SUV.

From the side, the new GX will look like no other Lexus model. It will receive an original form of side glazing with a «stepped» window sill line, a similar solution was used on another Japanese SUV — Nissan Terrano II, produced from 1993 to 2006. The sidewalls will be made relatively simple, except for the massive angular wheel arches that evoke associations with the new Land Rover Defender. As if large, almost square mirrors were taken from him. Another original element of the sidewalls is a black molding on the rear pillars, which visually unites the rear and side windows. As for the stern of the SUV, there will be angular-shaped lights made by a single LED strip. Also in the teaser you can see the rear wiper, which will now be located in a more traditional place.

Po According to available information, the new Lexus GX will retain the frame structure and share a platform with the older SUVs Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and the latest generation Lexus LX. There is no confirmed data on the engines yet, except that the appearance of hybrid modifications is expected. The current GX is offered with a single engine — a naturally aspirated V8 4.6 petrol, equipped with a 6-speed automatic.
The premiere of the new Lexus GX will take place on June 8.
