The Kremlin plans to build a bunker under a VIP hospital in Moscow to protect Russian elites from Ukrainian drones and missile attacks.
Plans to build an 800-person bunker with filtered air-cooling systems have been revealed after a Ukrainian drone attacked a prestigious Moscow district. suburb.
The bunker, worth 35 million rubles (£350,000), will be capable of purifying the air of «gaseous weapons of mass destruction» and will be able to «perform medical procedures in wartime,» the media quoted the bidding document.
At the time as the Kremlin rushed to announce plans to build a bunker under the exclusive Central Clinical Hospital, some Muscovites criticized officials for not protecting ordinary people.
On Tuesday, at least three drones evaded air defense systems around Moscow before crashing into Rubilovka, an upscale residential suburb where many wealthy Russians live. One of Vladimir Putin's residences is near Rubilovka, and analysts say it could have been the intended target.
No one was hurt, but footage of Russian FSB officers bringing down the charred remains of Ukrainian drones on a Moscow street and damaging «elite » apartment buildings unnerved some locals.

Where are we running to? one woman wrote on the social media app Telegram after the first explosion was heard in Moscow. «Where is the bunker?»
In contrast, the people of Kiev had to develop a well-oiled plan to deal with drones and missile attacks, which became part of their nightly routine. They ridiculed Muscovites for finally getting a little experience of what they had to endure in the last 15 months.
Moscow has a deep subway system designed by Soviet engineers to withstand a nuclear attack. The deepest Underground station is Park Pobedy, which is 275 feet deep, three times the depth of the average London Underground station.
However, the headache for many Muscovites is that Underground stations are rarely scattered. Russian media have already reported that prices for renting apartments near the metro have already increased.

Not that this has bothered some Russian millionaires who have begun building private bomb shelters.
In November, Russian media quoted Nikita Malezhik, founder of BunkerHouse, as saying that demand The cost of custom-made bomb shelters has jumped by 430% since Vladimir Putin ordered the first mobilization in Russia since World War II.
On its website, BunkerHouse says it can build a private bomb shelter in Moscow within 21 days of receiving an order.
«Equip a shelter, only 10 meters away,» it read next to photographs of bomb shelters equipped with wine cellars, luxury kitchens and home theaters. “You will no longer be afraid to be late and have time to take everything you need, calmly and slowly.”
