Democrats condemn Robert F. Kennedy Jr for saying Covid attacks races differently

Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. has been criticized by fellow Democrats after he said Covid is an «ethnic target».

Mr. Kennedy, who is battling Joe Biden for the party's presidential nomination, sparked outrage earlier this week when he said Covid had disproportionately attacked certain races.

“The people who are most unreceptive are the Ashkenazi Jews and the Chinese,” he said in New York.

His remarks, which were taped by the New York Post, were quickly dismissed by other members of the Kennedy clan. .

Kennedy, 69, denies being anti-Semitic and demands the paper retract the article.

The scandal escalated on Thursday when 102 Democrats signed a letter calling for him to be «withdrawn» as a witness by the Congressional Censorship Committee.

Mr. Kennedy, whose father Bobby Kennedy was assassinated during his 1968 presidential campaign, accused fellow Democrats of trying to «censor censorship hearings.»

His defense of conspiracy theories

Censorship, he added, was anathema to his father and uncle, President John F. Kennedy and other party icons, Harry Truman and Franklin Roosevelt.
