VORONEZH, February 14 The authorities of the Voronezh region have denied information about the possible target of a drone shot down over the region at night.
It was previously reported that on Wednesday night an aircraft-type drone was destroyed by air defense systems on duty in the Voronezh region. As the regional governor Alexander Gusev informed, there was no destruction on the ground. In the afternoon, the Mash Telegram channel reported that a drone was trying to attack the Pridonskoye oil storage facility located in the region.
«Information about the possible target of a drone in the Voronezh region, distributed today in a number of Telegram channels, does not correspond to reality. The remains of the UAV were found far from populated areas and any infrastructure facilities,» the regional government said in a statement.
The authorities note that the likely route of such unmanned aerial vehicles can only be determined by military experts.
«All other guesses are incorrect. We urge you not to mislead citizens,» reports the regional government.
