State Duma deputy and head of the Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov commented on the statement of US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who said on Thursday evening that the defeat of Ukraine would threaten a direct military clash Russia and NATO.

According to the parliamentarian, if the alliance continues its aggressive policy, NATO can expect the same fate as Ukraine.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev, answered whether they would use Russian Armed Forces nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
