MOSCOW, March 4 The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Russian political scientist Abbas Gallyamov* in absentia in the case of fakes about the army, the court reported.
«The request for detention of A.R. Gallyamov* was granted,» they said in court.
The measure is valid from the moment of extradition or detention on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Gallyamov* is charged with Part 3 Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, resulting in grave consequences), under which he faces 10 to 15 years in prison.
