MOSCOW, April 29. People's Artist of Russia Zoya Zelinskaya died at the age of 95, the press service of the Satire Theater reported.
«People's Artist of Russia Zoya Nikolaevna Zelinskaya has passed away. The theater staff brings “Deep condolences to Zoya Nikolaevna’s family and friends,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
Information about the date and place of farewell will appear later, the press service added.
Zoya Zelinskaya was born on December 8, 1929. She worked at the Satire Theater for 70 years, joining the troupe in 1954. The actress played in the plays “Sad but funny”, “How to sew on an old lady”, “Bathhouse”, “Mystery-bouffe”, “Was there Ivan Ivanovich?”, “Where are we?!…” and many others.< br />
Zelinskaya has 35 roles in films and TV series. She made her film debut in 1956, playing in an episode of the famous comedy “Carnival Night.” Her role as Mrs. Teresa in the TV show “Zucchini 13 Chairs” brought her widespread fame. The actress also starred in the series “On the Corner of the Patriarchs”, “D.D.D. File of Detective Dubrovsky”, “Evlampia Romanova. The investigation is being conducted by an amateur” and others.
