Artist Valery Chtak died at 42

MOSCOW, May 23. The famous Russian artist Valery Chtak (Uchanov – Ed.) died at the 43rd year of his life, Artguide reported.
“”After a long illness, the artist Valery Chtak passed away,” says in the publication.
As art critic Ksenia Korobeinikova clarified, the cause of the artist’s death was cancer.

Valery Uchanov was born in Moscow in 1981. He was engaged in painting, graffiti, unique and circulation graphics. The artist’s works are presented in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the collections of the Mark Rothko Art Center in Daugavpils. In 2022, he became artist of the year according to the Cosmoscow Foundation for Contemporary Art.
