In a slice separately for March 2023, 32.6 thousand cars rolled off the conveyors, minus 20.3% compared to March 2022.
The production rate of trucks also fell, but not so significantly: in the first quarter of this year, 33.5 thousand trucks were assembled (minus 17.6% compared to the same period last year). However, the «truck auto industry» already out of the crisis: March 2023 indicator — 15.1 thousand cars produced, + 19.8% compared to February and + 6.7% compared to March 2022.
For buses, the picture is as follows. Small-class vehicles (gross weight no more than 5 tons) were produced in the first three months by 3.8 thousand units, + 26.4% compared to the same period in 2022. In the first spring month, 1.3 thousand small buses left the production shops, which is 19.8% more than in March last year.
Middle and large class buses (gross weight more than 5 tons) in January &mdash ; March collected 2.8 thousand units, +0.9%. Separately, in March, 1.2 thousand medium and large buses were assembled — this is 29.7% more than the result for March last year and 18.5% for February of the current year.
Rosstat also provides data on the production of car bodies: 7.7 thousand units for the first quarter (minus 30, 9%). Internal combustion engines for the reporting period were collected 44.9 thousand units, minus 55.1%. This column does not take into account motors produced as part of cars, — only those engines that are supplied to the secondary market or abroad are meant.
