Inhabitants of a once-peaceful street in the US have rioted after hundreds of swimming pools advertised on the Swimply app have attracted crowds of strangers to their area.

Residents have also expressed concern that the rental could pose a security risk. In 2022, a seven-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool rented through Swimply.
Cameron Kielberg, the company's head of public relations and legal affairs, said the company has introduced new rules and regulations. the incident is still under investigation.
