The new truck will have its world premiere next month. According to preliminary data, the model will move to a new frame platform and receive an upgraded turbodiesel.
In March of this year, Mitsubishi showed the concept pickup XRT, which heralded the new L200, already the sixth generation (in some markets the model is called Triton). Now, teasers of the serial machine have been published, as well as videos from the tests. In addition, the presentation date has been announced: the novelty will be fully revealed on July 26 in its production homeland, that is, in Thailand. Recall that the predecessor has been in service since 2014, it underwent a radical restyling in 2018.

It is expected that the «sixth» Mitsubishi L200 will be based on a new frame platform, but the pickup truck will still have a continuous rear axle. The model will retain the two-story head optics, however, the diode running lights located on top will become narrower, and the main headlights will consist of three LED sections. Also, the pickup truck will acquire a rectangular radiator grille in a massive frame. In general, the new L200 will have a more brutal look.

In the cabin there is a new multimedia system with a large tablet that rises above the front panel. At the same time, a number of physical keys will be placed under the screen. It is also possible that the L200 will get a virtual tidy. Side air deflectors will be made vertical.

According to preliminary information, the pickup truck will be equipped with a turbodiesel with a factory index 4N16: such an engine is now being installed on the Nissan Caravan minibus (yes, Nissan switched to the Mitsubishi engine), its working volume is 2439 cubic centimeters instead of 2442 for the current diesel 4N15. However, the characteristics of the pickup will be known after the premiere.
