Experts of Avtoteka (Avito project), an online service for checking cars with mileage, analyzed data on requests for the history of cars of Russian manufacturers in the first six months of 2023 and found out which models under the age of 5 years were the least involved in an accident. According to experts, the rating of domestic cars under the age of 3 years, in the reports of which information about traffic accidents was the least common, was headed by VAZ (LADA) Niva Legend, and in the category from 4 to 5 years, the leader was VAZ (LADA) Kalina Cross .
As part of the study, the statistics of cars of domestic brands were considered, for which Autoteka users requested reports in January-May 2023. The data for calculating the average number of accidents was taken from Autoteka's own database.
Demand for the domestic auto industry continues to grow in Russia. According to Avito Auto, models from Russian manufacturers account for 21% of the total demand for cars with a run of up to three years on the platform. The top in demand is headed by VAZ (LADA) Granta, VAZ (LADA) Vesta and VAZ (LADA) Largus. Despite the high level of trust in Russian manufacturers, it is important to check its history before buying a used car. Autoteka reports contain extended data on road accidents, including those drawn up according to European protocols, information on mileage, maintenance, insurance payments and repair calculations, vehicle operation by a legal entity or a taxi service.
