Rishi Sunak chose a short straw to meet with the highest MP

From shaking hands with Joe Biden in the Oval Office to exchanging an umbrella with Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace, Rishi Sunak is used to being photographed with political giants.

‌Now the 5ft 6in prime minister has another giant memento he can add to his Downing Street photo album after he posed for a picture with Daniel. Kawczynski, Britain's tallest Member of Parliament.

‌Mr Sunak, who was always ready to play a friendly prank on his short stature, greeted the tall 6ft 9in at Downing Street on Wednesday.

‌Mr Kawczynski, MP for Shrewsbury, uploaded a photo of himself and Mr Sunak standing side by side in No. 10, to his Instagram account on Thursday.

‌In the message posted with the photo, he said the couple discussed local issues, including the delay in building a new emergency service in his area.
