The day before, information appeared on the SHOT Telegram channel about an attack on a teenager in the swimming pool of the Lenin Central Stadium in Orel. It was noted that a 57-year-old man entered the shower after a 13-year-old boy, attacked him and began to invite him to visit him. The teenager broke free, ran home and told his parents about what had happened.
“I know this situation from the media, we are keeping it under control. At the moment, a criminal case has been opened, it is being handled by the investigative committee, the suspect has been arrested at the moment,” Domogatsky said.
He noted that the Federal Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova had previously spoken out about toughening the punishment under the article on indecent acts against minors.
“The question has long been ripe – in such public places in institutions, conditions and additional premises must be created so that children, together with their peers, can freely change clothes and take a shower. In bathhouses and swimming pools, create conditions for access to these premises only children, without adults,” Domogatsky emphasized.
Law enforcement agencies do not comment on the situation, since it involves a minor.
