An elderly Russian woman abandoned by her son in Mexico returned to her homeland

The Russian woman, who was abandoned by her son and his wife on the threshold of the country's consulate in Mexico City, has returned to Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

< p>The ministry said that the Russian citizen crossed the border at 9:00 Moscow time at Domodedovo airport. She was provided with the necessary assistance by the consul on duty.

It was previously reported that the woman was abandoned on the threshold of the consulate by her son and his wife, who is a citizen of Ukraine. A 73-year-old Russian woman using a wheelchair was left with her belongings, but without money. She has no relatives in Russia.
