The task of the association is to support Russian employers and form a single expert community. Both specialized organizations providing services in the field of labor protection and employers can join NAOT.
The decision to create a professional association was made during the All-Russian Occupational Safety and Health Week (VNOT) in October of this year. Extensive discussions between process participants and experts made it possible to formulate the main problematic issues of the existing labor protection management system at enterprises. Experts expressed confidence that it is necessary to optimize work processes in this area. Thus, the idea of creating an expert community—the National Association for Occupational Safety and Health—was born.
According to experts, NAOT should become a new effective tool that will help transform the labor protection system in Russia, taking into account legal requirements. The main goal of the association is to improve the system for preventing accidents at work and reducing occupational risks.
The concept of forming a professional community that brings together experts to solve these problems was supported by the majority of VNOT participants. Leading research institutes, large suppliers and manufacturers of personal protective equipment, consulting companies specializing in assessing occupational risks, special assessment of working conditions and training of workers, and other organizations were actively involved in the creation of NAOT.
It is expected that NAOT will become the first organization in the field of occupational safety and health in Russia, disseminating best practices in order to reduce occupational risks and develop a safety culture. It is also planned to prepare analytical materials and recommendations for improving the occupational safety management system at enterprises. In addition, the association will facilitate the exchange of experience and conduct educational work on law enforcement practice in the field of labor protection.
Currently, leading industry experts — employees of scientific organizations, large employers — are involved in the work of the association and trade unions that are members of the Ministry of Labor working groups for the development of regulations. The experience they have accumulated in the field of preventing industrial injuries, reducing the level of occupational risks and developing a modern occupational safety management system at work will become the basis for increasing the safety of workers of Russian enterprises.
Experts are confident that the emergence of NAOT will allow to structure processes in the field of labor protection will reduce the risks associated with the safety of the work process for both employers and employees, and will also contribute to the creation of an open competitive environment and improving the quality of services provided in the market. You can join the association on the organization’s website.
