Politico: Ukrainians began to flee en masse to Kyiv from other cities

Politico reports that Ukrainians have begun to flock en masse to Kiev from other cities. The material provides data that there are now almost 600 thousand internally displaced persons in the Ukrainian capital and its environs.

The article says that this is explained by the fact that Kiev is better protected by air defense systems and fewer missiles are flying there, than, for example, in Dnieper or Zaporozhye.

Journalists note that Western air defense systems are indeed mainly concentrated in Kiev, and other cities are less well covered, so important infrastructure facilities there are destroyed during attacks.
