Preliminarily, the flashes and sounds of explosions that were noticed over Lytkarino in the Moscow region were due to a short circuit at a local electrical substation.

An eyewitness to SHOT reported that around midnight he saw “a bright light in the sky and heard a whistling, buzzing and ultrasound-like sound” coming from the electrical substation.

In As a result, several settlements were left without electricity, water and communications. According to our data, five substations are now in emergency condition. Specialists are already repairing the damage.
