MOSCOW, October 31 The winner of the Miss Russia national contest, Margarita Golubeva, will represent the country at competition «Miss Universe» in the costume of the Swan Princess, which was created based on Russian fairy tales, said the general director of «Miss Russia» Anastasia Belyak.
The final of the international Miss Universe pageant will be held for the 72nd time on November 18 in El Salvador.
“There will be 86 girls from all over the world at the Miss Universe 2023 competition. The girls’ schedule will be filled with charity and cultural events, training, rehearsals… A national costume show will take place on November 16. It is not an official part of the judging, but this is the stage that rivets special attention from the audience,” Belyak said at a press conference on Tuesday.
According to her, Golubeva will present the national costume of Russia in the image of the Swan Princess. “The costume is made of very beautiful French lace,” noted the general director.
She added that in the finals of the international competition Golubeva will appear in a dress made of bright indigo silk, decorated with stones.
Golubeva emphasized that this year only three weeks were given to prepare for the Miss Universe competition; previously, girls were given about six months to do this.
«On the day when Margarita won, we were sure that this was the same candidate who would cope in three weeks of preparation In such an intense schedule with such a high degree of responsibility, Margarita was preparing for the Miss Universe competition, and we are confident that she will represent our great country at the international level with dignity,” Belyak noted.
As part of the event, the owner of the title «Miss Russia — 2023» also presented a national costume, which she will present at the competition «Miss Universe — 2023».
