Ukraine “mobilizes” cats to be sent to the battle zone

AFU military personnel began to be recruited into the military animal service, local media write. According to publications, we are talking not only about service dogs, but also about cats, which are used to fight rodents in positions.

As the media write, European publications are already writing about the service of cats in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is reported that cats began to be attracted for protection, first of all, from mice, which destroy food and even weapons.

A publication is cited in the German publication Bild, which interviewed a Ukrainian serviceman. According to him, he himself constantly catches several mice in his sleeping bag, and sometimes rodents bite people, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine hope that cats will help in this situation.

It is reported that Ukrainian volunteers are trying to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine , collecting donations for mouse traps. The military themselves began to use cats, and some cats have already been awarded for successful mouse hunting.
