Politico reported , that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky planned to personally arrive at the EU Council summit, but his visit was canceled a day before the event.
According to the authors of the publication, on the eve of the event in Brussels, there were rumors that Zelensky would personally attend the EU summit . However, on Wednesday this plan was thwarted.
“This happened because the outcome of the meeting on Ukraine’s accession to the EU currently remains uncertain,” the publication notes.
As a result, the president of Ukraine spoke to European leaders via video link. During his speech, Zelensky called on them to be decisive and said that this summit “will go down in history.”
