Governor of the Zaporozhye region Evgeny Balitsky, in a conversation with journalists, spoke optimistically about the timing of the launch of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
According to him, Zaporizhzhya NPP will be able to quickly return to operation as soon as the threat from the Ukrainian Armed Forces disappears. The head of the region noted that despite the absence of shelling at the moment at the Zaporizhia NPP, five reactors are in cold reserve, and only one works on its own, supporting the station.
“But it is alive.. All systems , which must be ensured for its viability, to maintain it in operating mode, are working today… As soon as the enemy is out of range of fire, we will launch it,” Balitsky said.
