Blinovskaya's lawyer responded to accusations of a party while under house arrest

MOSCOW, December 25The defense of Elena Blinovskaya, accused of tax evasion and money laundering, does not know that a New Year’s party was held in her cottage, but it is legal to hold such meetings under house arrest, said her lawyer Natalia Salnikova.
This is how she commented on the media reports about the party at Blinovskaya’s. Some guests posted photos from the celebration on social networks.

“I doubt that this is true. She (Blinovskaya — editor's note) has no ban on meeting people who are not participants in the proceedings, that is, she cannot meet with witnesses, and she has no ban on meeting other people. I have no confirmation that the fact took place, but I believe that there was no violation of the preventive measure when meeting with friends and relatives, including when celebrating national holidays,” Salnikova said.

In mid-November, the court left the blogger under house arrest until January.
Blinovskaya is accused of income laundering and tax evasion. According to the investigation, she received a large income from the implementation of training courses and training marathons, not wanting to “switch to a common taxation system.” Thus, in 2019-2021, the blogger failed to pay taxes by 918 million rubles.
In addition, she legalized illegally obtained 43 million rubles by paying for her husband’s car, purchasing equipment for her husband’s and sister’s companies, the work of a musical artist and a festive event in August 2021.
Currently Blinovskaya is under house arrest until October 26. Her husband Alexey was also involved in the case; he was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
