Lavrov said that the United States intends to present even the defeat of Ukraine as a victory

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a conversation with a Lenta.ru correspondent, said that the United States is able to present even the defeat of Ukraine as a victory, that they have done this many times during other armed conflicts.

As the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, the ability of the West, and especially the United States, to declare victories is well known. He pointed out that it is well known how they are “winning” in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, where the United States invaded in 2003 under false pretenses. The minister emphasized that the situation has not improved in any of these countries.

Lavrov cited the Middle East as an example, noting that the Gaza Strip as of today is in conditions of Washington blocking any efforts aimed at creating Palestinian state.
