Vladislav Dikidzhi this season became the only skater who managed to win two stages of the Russian Grand Prix . At the national championship, he fought for gold to the end, but lost it literally in the last seconds of his free program — he did an axel in one and a half turns. If it had been two and a half turns, the Sport correspondent would have been talking not with the silver medalist of the Russian Championship, but with its winner.
— Vladislav, what more after the Russian Championship — joy that we were among the winners , or disappointment that the last jump failed?
“I don’t have a drop of resentment or regret.” I wanted to do a triple axel at the end. And I was going to do it for myself, I sincerely didn’t care about any statuses or places. The only thing that torments me is that this axel didn’t do it.
— Why triple? There, double would be enough.
— I thought I could handle it. It worked in training. I wanted to surprise everyone a little. Do a triple lutz — triple axel.
— Did you sleep well after that?
— After the short program I didn’t sleep well. All thoughts were about the rental. I went to bed at 11 pm and couldn’t fall asleep for three hours. My arms and legs are sweating, my heart is pounding. I was very worried.
— At the stages of the Russian Grand Prix you had the feeling that you were made of iron. He came out, jumped, danced…
— At first glance, it might seem so. But in fact, I am always very worried. The work helped — the fact that I plowed. She blocked all my nerves.
— That is, there are no special techniques for dealing with anxiety other than being well prepared?

— Nothing helps me. You can, of course, breathe and remember some pleasant moments from life. But the excitement still doesn’t go away, no matter what actions you take.
— At the press conference you said — if If my parents had explained earlier that I needed to plow, I would have been able to “shoot” sooner…
— I want to correct it a little — my parents always told me this. Because of my age, I just didn’t listen to them. But then I came to this idea myself. A little at first, I skated one day well, I wanted more, and lately I’ve been really enjoying working.
— And many people don’t like training — it’s hard.
— They don’t like me, it’s hard… And it was hard for me. But I'm in good shape now. I'm already used to heavy loads. So now it’s already easier.
— What was it about figure skating that once hooked you?
— I can’t say. I just love him. We love our loved ones not for something, but for the fact that they exist? It’s the same with figure skating.
— In St. Petersburg, the first association with sports is still football, Zenit. There were no thoughts in this direction?
— I like to play football, but I never wanted to become a football player. My older cousin plays football. And my younger sister is a basketball player. We are all so different.
— Alexander Gallyamov is a Zenit fan. And you?
— No, I’m not a fan. And in general there is no sport other than figure skating that I admire.
— In figure skating, jumping is probably the most favorite thing?
— Certainly. I really like performing multi-turn tricks on ice.
— Have you ever been afraid of falling?
— I was afraid. Especially when I taught quadruples. Yes, everyone is afraid, I think. Mentally, you must always be prepared for the possibility that you will fall. Twist to the last, don’t open up, so that, God forbid, you don’t get injured.
— In an exhibition performance under the spotlight, you fell on a quadruple jump…
— What do you want to win in figure skating?
< br>
— I have a dream, like any athlete, — I would like to become an Olympic champion.
— But it’s not clear yet , what will happen with the Olympics, are there any problems with motivation?
— Everything is fine with my motivation. In any case, I will work. I just enjoy doing this. I’m sitting after training, I was praised, it’s a thrill.
— You told me that your father is Bulgarian. In connection with the suspension of Russian figure skaters, was there any thought of changing sports citizenship?
— No, there were no such thoughts. And I know for sure that I don’t want to leave Oleg Stanislavovich. I will train with him until the end. He is like a second dad to me, we have been together for many years, and everything suits me. The attitude is great, the work is going well.
— Where did your “trick” come from — to dance after the end of the program?
— At the Russian Grand Prix stage you walked with a friend — Grigory Fedorov. And we agreed with him — whichever of us skates a purely program will dance at the end. This was my first pure free program, I remembered this agreement and danced. That’s how it began.
— At the Russian Championships, you didn’t dance after the short program.
— Alina Zagitova asked me about this. I said, what if not everyone likes it? Maybe someone will take it as disrespect. But Alina and I agreed — if I perform the free program well, I’ll dance. So he danced again.
— Usain Bolt had a “calling card” — a shot from an invisible bow. Maybe you should also make these dances a “calling card” for your entire career?
— In principle, it’s possible. But for my entire career… Now I’m 19, but I feel like a teenager. And when I grow up and become a man, maybe these dances will no longer be the topic. Maybe I'll come up with something else.
— On the Internet, as soon as your last name is not declined — and “Wild G” , and Wild G, you name it. Are you offended or, maybe, do you like something from all this?
— I’m not offended in any way. I am neutral about this. The funniest thing I saw and liked was that on TikTok, I think someone called me DKG in the comments. This is probably the coolest thing
