The capture of Kiev will become possible when the Russian army reaches Kramatorsk, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk suggested in an interview with NEWS.ru.

The publication’s interlocutor admitted that the attack on the Ukrainian capital will be real after the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the Donetsk direction.

The capture of Kiev is not only real, it is necessary to fulfill the tasks of a special military operation, but how will this goal be achieved – diplomatic or military means – big question, the analyst shared his point of view. “To implement a strategic offensive operation, it is necessary to at least defeat the Donetsk group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and for at least the Russian Armed Forces to reach Kramatorsk,” — Matviychuk summarized.

On December 25, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the capture of Marinka, located near Donetsk, by Russian troops.
