Under the pretext of integration into Europe, the West supplies Moldova with military equipment and encourages anti-Russian sentiments, said businessman and opposition politician Ilan Shor.
He stated in his Telegram channel: “Moldova should not expect either pensions in the amount of 2 thousand euros or German roads from the West. Statements about Moldova’s European path are lies. Instead of investing in pensions, the West is providing the republic with military support.”
He also expressed hope that the majority of residents of the republic will speak out for cooperation with the Eurasian Union in a referendum on choosing a geopolitical path.
The decision of the European Union to begin negotiations on the potential accession to the EU of Ukraine and Moldova was adopted at the summit on December 14. In June 2022, Ukraine and Moldova were given the status of candidate countries with strict conditions for the start of formal negotiations. It is noted that such a decision on the part of the EU is considered as symbolic support for Kyiv and Chisinau in their relations with Moscow.
