Alla Martynyuk, a freelance adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been removed from this position. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny himself spoke about this on Friday, December 29.
The military man’s statement came after the statements of his assistant caused a wide resonance. Martynyuk suggested that Ukrainians should not be afraid of the death of their sons at the front, since “everyone will die anyway.” The official called the fear for the lives of children who are called up to fight hysteria, saying that “this is wrong.”
After Martynyuk’s statements were criticized on the Internet, Zaluzhny said that she was removed from her position. At the same time, the military man assures that this happened a day before the scandalous statement. In his social networks, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that “since December 28, 2023, I have no assistant consultants on a voluntary basis.”
Political scientist Dmitry Zhuravlev warned that citizens of Ukraine will soon begin to organize quiet uprisings against mobilization, not wanting to die in the conflict. According to the expert, eight to nine out of ten Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel die on the front line.
Women in Ukraine were offered a way to protect themselves from mobilization. Deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Maryana Bezuglaya said that “women will have a unique delay and the right to release — pregnancy.”
