Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled a bakery in Lisichansk; there may be people under the rubble

MOSCOW, February 3. Ukrainian troops shelled a bakery in Lisichansk, dozens of people may be under the rubble, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik said in the Telegram channel.

«The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at a bakery in Lisichansk, civilians are under the rubble. Our enemies, having no success at the front, struck at the civilian population. Knowing that on weekends residents come to the bakery , where bread baking was organized, they opened fire on the building,” he wrote.

As the Military Commandant’s Office of the LPR clarified, two civilians were killed, and six more were taken to the hospital. In total, up to 40 people may remain under the rubble.

Later, the Minister of Health of the Republic Natalia Pashchenko stated that the number of wounded had reached eight.

Lisichansk is located next to the front line. The Ukrainian army, leaving the settlement, blew up and destroyed part of the administrative buildings. As a result of the fighting, important infrastructure facilities were damaged. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to shell this city.
