MOSCOW, February 4 Bronze medalist at the 1964 Olympic Games diving Galina Alekseeva died at the age of 77, the President of the Russian Diving Federation Stanislav Druzhinin said in his Telegram channel.
Alekseeva died after a long illness.

“The Russian Diving Federation offers sincere condolences to family and friends,” wrote Druzhinin.
Alekseeva became the champion of the USSR three times (1964-1966), and was also recognized as a master of sports USSR of international class (1965) and Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2003). After finishing her sports career, she was engaged in coaching.
