The new tire brand Attar is preparing to enter the Russian market soon

Production of tires for cars and trucks will begin in the coming months at the Kazakhstan plant, which belongs to Tatneft and the Allur group .

Construction of a tire plant in Saran (a city in the Karaganda region, Republic of Kazakhstan) started in April 2021. The project is being implemented by a subsidiary of PJSC Tatneft together with the Allur Group of Companies. Very soon, within the next few months, serial production of car tires under a new brand will begin here.

As told The press service of Ikon Tires, a Russian-Kazakh company, has decided on the name of the brand under which tires will be produced at the new site: all tire models will roll off the assembly line under the Attar brand. Translated from the Kazakh language, the name means “horses” (by the way, the image of horses is on the official coat of arms of Kazakhstan).

The company noted that “Attar tires confidently guide the herd, which figuratively accelerates the car, hiding under its hood.” It was decided to make the brand logo in the form of a stylized profile of a horse's head: the emblem will be displayed on the sidewall of each tire that comes off the assembly line of a Kazakh tire company.

The plant in the Karaganda region will produce tires for both cars and trucks (all-metal cord tires, all-metal cord tires). The company added that mass production will be established using high-tech automated equipment from leading industry brands.

The production site area of ​​the subsidiary company of Tatneft and Allura is 10.6 hectares. According to the plan, after the enterprise reaches full production capacity, the tire manufacturer will be able to produce 3 million tires for passenger cars and 500 thousand tires for trucks annually.

The company said that the quality of Attar tires “will correspond to the best global practices in the tire industry.” The manufacturer also added that all manufactured products will necessarily undergo two stages of control: first visual, and then automated control. Tires that do not pass inspection will be sent for recycling.

Sales of Attar brand tires will begin this year. It is known that the products of the new tire plant will be sold in Kazakhstan and also exported.

Recall that the Russian company Tatneft previously bought the former plant of the Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian Tires, located in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region), Now the production of tires under new brands has been launched here. In addition, the structure of Tatneft includes the Nizhnekamskshina company, which is responsible for the production of tires for cars and trucks under the Kama and Viatti brands.
