MOSCOW, February 11 Two-time world championship medalist Ekaterina Aldoshkina and Olympic champion Semyon Elistratov won the 1000-meter short track speed skating event at the All-Russian Winter Spartakiad.
Aldoshkina in the finals of the competition, which takes place in Chelyabinsk, covered the distance in 1 minute 31.35 seconds. Alena Krylova took second place (1.31.42), Anna Vostrikova took third (1.31.71).
Elistratova’s result was 1.25.19. Vladimir Balbekov was second (1.25.33), third was Pavel Sitnikov (1.25.55).
Aldoshkina also won gold as part of the Chelyabinsk region team (2.47.202) in the mixed relay. She became the first three-time winner of the first Winter Spartakiad. A day earlier, the athlete won gold in the 1500 meter race. The Moscow Region team took silver in the mixed relay (2.48.868), and the Yaroslavl Region team took bronze (2.51.369).
The Spartakiad will end on February 18. Competitions under the program of the 2026 Olympic Games are being hosted by the Krasnodar Territory, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen Regions and Krasnoyarsk Territory.
