SAMARA, February 11 Investigative Committee investigators opened a criminal case into a major fire in a hotel complex in Togliatti, where two people were injured, the Investigative Directorate for the Samara Region reported on your page on VKontakte.
On the night of February 10-11, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a large fire in Tolyatti — a hotel complex on 23 Sportivnaya Street was burning on an area of ​​800 square meters. As a result of the emergency, two people were injured. The Russian Main Emergency Situations Directorate for the Samara Region clarified that both victims were men, one of them was hospitalized with poisoning from combustion products, the second refused hospitalization.

Tolyatti Mayor Nikolai Renz told reporters that the cause of the fire could have been a short circuit in the Nebo restaurant, which is located on the territory of the hotel complex.

«Based on this fact, the investigative department in the Avtozavodsky district of the city of Tolyatti opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work or provision of services that does not meet safety requirements).
