The press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration reported that the 11-story residential building in Anapa, where a fire occurred in the attic floor, was built illegally.

Nevertheless, he erected a ten-story building with an attic and basement floors,” the mayor’s office reported. .

The Anapa administration clarified that the project was not approved and no permit was issued. In this regard, the mayor's office went to court three times: in 2011, 2014 and 2019. Among the requirements were to ensure the required width of gaps on the stairs, to ensure that the walls and partitions on the 11th floor have the required fire resistance limit, and to eliminate openly laid electrical cables from the stairwells, but the court rejected the mayor's demands.
