MOSCOW, February 13, Andrey Vasilchin. On Saturday, February 10, 22-year-old athlete Anna Tsormatova disappeared in Dagestan.
As the head of the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, Gayana Garieva, reported on social networks, the Ossetian came to the republic for a Thai boxing competition. The tournament took place at the Ali Aliyev sports complex in Kaspiysk. However, the girl was defeated and, very upset by the failure, left the phone and left in an unknown direction. As noted by the local criminal investigation department, the last time the athlete in a black tracksuit and white sneakers was seen was on the 10th on the shores of the Caspian Sea — Anna was standing waist-deep in water. Before this, she crawled under the fence into the territory of the FSB sanatorium and walked along the coast (this became known thanks to camera footage from a new building built nearby).
The search began on Sunday morning, when the police duty station received a call from Tsormatova’s 43-year-old mother .
Three days after she went missing, the girl has still not been found. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Dagestan, volunteers (including Lisa Alert), friends and colleagues from Ossetia are involved in the search for the Rostov law school student. Ordinary residents of Dagestan quickly volunteered to help. Divers also began to examine the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
Meanwhile, new details about what happened are coming in. Garieva wrote that the girl, before heading to the sea, decided to have an extremely disturbing conversation with her brother:
“
“When leaving, she said goodbye, hugged him, asked him to tell his mother that she loved her very much, did not take any of her personal belongings, threw on her jacket and went to the sea.”
The head of North Ossetia Sergei Menyailo in his Telegram — the channel stated that he keeps the situation with the search for the 22-year-old athlete under personal control:
“»As a father, I understand the concerns of Anna’s loved ones. It’s very difficult for them! And we are obliged to help. I also understand the demand of Anya’s mother to speed up the search, to direct additional forces. I can assure that law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are doing everything possible to quickly establish the whereabouts of the missing person. I contacted the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB and asked them to coordinate efforts with colleagues from Dagestan. We are in touch with the head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei Melikov. I contacted «Ministry of Emergency Situations of Dagestan and asked to bring all the necessary information about the search to Anna's mother. I emphasize that no one is indifferent to the situation. And no one will be left alone with trouble. I also thank the volunteers who provide all possible assistance in the search operation. We hope for the best and work.»
