The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro crossover will receive a new interior in Russia

The configurations will also be shaken up, but the engine range will not be affected by the reforms. Sales of the refreshed SUV will start soon.

The Russian office of Chery announced the premiere of the modernized crossover Tiggo 4 Pro. Moreover, the appearance of such a five-door is timed “to coincide with the brand’s 18-year continuous presence” in the Russian Federation, so the full name of the updated SUV sounds like Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition. Well, the “four” itself launched in Russia in 2019, our version experienced the previous restyling in 2022 — at the same time the model acquired the Pro prefix. In total, since its debut on the Russian market, more than 78,000 Tiggo 4 crossovers have been sold.

The appearance will remain the same this time. According to the local Cherie representative office, the main changes “will affect the interior, equipment and cost.” Alas, the company has not yet provided a photo of the interior of the Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition. However, one of the available pictures still shows that the SUV will get a scoreboard, that is, a combined virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen of the multimedia system. Let us remember that in its native China, the crossover received a single panel back in 2022 (there the model is called Tiggo 5x), while retaining versions with separate screens.

In Russia, the updated cross will be available in four trim levels: Action, Family, Style and Ultimate. But the pre-reform Tiggo 4 Pro has five of them — for such an SUV there is also a “medium” Travel version. They will talk about the equipment of the updated model later.

The reforms did not affect the technology of our Chery Tiggo 4 Pro. The SUV will still be offered with a naturally aspirated 1.5 petrol (113 hp) and a turbo-four of the same volume (147 hp). The first engine is combined with a five-speed manual or CVT, the second is equipped only with CVT. In any case, the drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.

Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition will go on sale before the end of the first quarter, there are no prices yet. The pre-reform crossover now costs 2,120,000 – 2,620,000 rubles (excluding shares).

Meanwhile, the “four” in Russia have two varieties at once — these are the Kaiyi X3 and Kaiyi X3 Pro crossovers assembled in Kaliningrad.
