MOSCOW, February 15 Vladimir Putin awarded cosmonaut Sergei Korsakov the title of Hero of Russia, follows from a decree published on the portal legal information.

"Award the title of Hero of the Russian Federation to Sergei Vladimirovich Korsakov, a test cosmonaut of the cosmonaut corps of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Research Institute of the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yu. A. Gagarin,” the text says.
The state award was awarded for courage and heroism shown during a long space expedition.
Traditionally, the “Golden Star” of the Hero of Russia is awarded for the first flight into space.
Korsakov was also awarded the honorary title “Pilot-Cosmonaut of the Russian Federation.”
Sergei Korsakov, Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev stayed on the ISS for 195 days (from March 18 to September 29, 2022). During the flight, Artemyev and Matveev made five spacewalks to integrate the new Nauka and Prichal modules into the Russian segment of the station.» Korsakov is an ISS flight engineer, so he did not go into outer space.
