Gazprombank, #MEGAIGROK in the field of infrastructure construction, and IFR-EKB LLC, a company with the participation of the K1 Group and IGPP LLC (Bank Group), signed loan collateral documentation and opened financing as part of the investment initiative to create a scientific and educational center and a campus of Sakhalin State University on the territory of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
“Sakhalin Tech” is a unique project, an entire block in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where on an area of 112 thousand square meters. m will house educational, research and laboratory blocks, several dormitory buildings, a library, a congress hall and public and business spaces. The capacity of the campus will be 1.5 thousand places. Total capital costs are estimated at 26.1 billion rubles. Of these, 16 billion rubles will be allocated by Gazprombank in the form of senior debt.
Construction is being carried out in accordance with the relevant government program PP No. 1268. Construction of the campus began in August 2023, and completion of construction is scheduled for 2026.

The emergence of an advanced campus on the basis of Sakhalin State University is a very important project that can become one of the drivers of development in the region of the innovative economy and a center of attraction for talents. We expect that such initiatives will be scaled up; the Bank, for its part, is ready to invest in them not only loan funds, but also expertise and experience,” said Svetlana Lyapina, Vice President, Head of the Department for Financing Infrastructure Projects and PPPs of Gazprombank.
