One of the current new products of last year is the Moskvich 6, which is offered only with a liftback body. We decided to present a cargo-passenger version, especially since there are such cars in the history of the Moscow automaker.
The Moscow Automobile Plant was founded in 1930 and over its long history has produced many different models, including station wagons. The first of them can be considered the cargo-passenger Moskvich-400 with a partially wooden body; more than 11 thousand copies were produced in the van version. However, the first full-fledged station wagon, not only of the brand, but in the USSR in general, is the Moskvich-423, which was produced from 1957 to 1963. It was replaced by Moskvich-426, made on the basis of the 408 sedan. The last production Moskvich is model 2137 (family 1500), produced from 1976 to 1985, during which time 85,500 copies were produced.

Today's range of the Moscow Automobile Plant has nothing in common with those models, and the Moskvich 6 passenger car, which entered the market last fall, is presented only in a liftback version. However, many would probably be interested in the cargo-passenger version of the car, given the high popularity of the Lada Vesta SW models in regular and cross-versions. The car shown in the renderings received original side glazing, visually combined with the rear window, while the lights and rear bumper remained the same in order to save money.

Moskvich 6 is a localized version of the Chinese Sehol Yao, which is one of the varieties of the well-known JAC J7 in Russia. Its length is 4770 mm, width – 1820 mm, height – 1492 mm, wheelbase – 2760 mm. The base car is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged petrol engine with distributed injection (136 hp, 200 Nm) paired with a CVT. The more powerful version is equipped with a 1.5 TGDI turbo engine with direct fuel injection (174 hp, 280 Nm) in combination with a six-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches.
