Novikombank and the Kaliningrad region entered into a cooperation agreement

Novikombank, the core bank of the Rostec State Corporation, and the Government of the Kaliningrad Region entered into a cooperation agreement. The partnership will help strengthen the industrial potential of the region, as well as solve priority problems of socio-economic development.

The signing of the document took place as part of a working meeting between representatives of Novikombank and the official delegation of the government of the Kaliningrad region. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgieva and the Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov.

The interaction of the parties will be aimed at developing investment programs, supporting the innovative growth of the industrial complex and introducing modern banking technologies in the region. Also, under the terms of the agreement, Novikombank will promote the implementation of socially significant projects and increase the level of financial literacy of the population of the westernmost region of the country. In addition, one of the areas of the partnership involves the development of a lending system for legal entities operating in the region.

“High-tech enterprises are concentrated in the Kaliningrad region, some of which are part of the Rostec State Corporation. The promising region is interested in major breakthrough projects, with the help of which its industrial cluster will receive an additional impetus for development. We are confident that Novikombank’s financial support will allow us to create a stable socio-economic situation in the Kaliningrad region,” noted Elena Georgieva, Chairman of the Board of Novikombank.

Novikombank is systematically increasing its volumes business in the Kaliningrad region. In 2023, the bank began cooperation with one of the leading Russian shipyards, the Yantar Baltic Shipyard, located in Kaliningrad. A salary project with the Kaliningrad Amber Factory is in the process of implementation. Employees of the Kaliningrad football club Baltika have already become salary clients of the Rostec core bank. Also in 2023, based on the results of an auction held by the Ministry of Finance of the Kaliningrad Region, Novikombank opened a credit line.
