The idea of ​​creating a powerful line of defense belongs to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This statement was made on Tuesday, February 20, by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

As the Russian minister stated, Vladimir Putin personally supervised the process of creating a defensive line of Russian troops.

Sergei Shoigu recalled the high effectiveness of the defense strategy of the Russian Armed Forces, emphasizing that, having deployed huge forces for a counter-offensive, the Ukrainian military could not even reach the first line of defense.

The Czech publication iDNES noted that at the beginning of winter, Ukrainian troops completely went on the defensive, and the Russian army, on the contrary, began to increase pressure along the entire front line.

At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that Kiev has a combat plan for 2024, but did not disclose details. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky also noted at his press conference that the Ukrainian authorities have a certain strategy of action, but refrained from details.
