MOSCOW, February 19 Director Alexander Baranov, who plans to make a biopic about the founder of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, said that actor Nikita Kologrivy looks like the party leader, but whether he plays him will become known only after acting tests.
Earlier, the press service of LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky reported that Kologrivy will play Zhirinovsky in a biopic about the founder and leader of the LDPR. 
«Maybe he will act, but when the auditions come, we will understand. There have been no acting auditions yet. Everyone only knows that he (Kologrivy — ed. .) is very similar (to Zhirinovsky — ed.). Therefore, of course, he will be at the auditions as one or two candidates, we’ll see,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The director suggested that Slutsky called the artist to make sure of his similarity with Zhirinovsky. “I think that’s how it was,” Baranov added.
Zhirinovsky died on April 6, 2022 after a long illness. The founder and leader of the LDPR, a State Duma deputy of all eight convocations, was 75 years old.
