The Houthis cut three optical Internet cables in the Red Sea

As reported by Ren-TV with reference to Indian technical expert Sunil Tagari, members of the Shia-Zaydi paramilitary group operating in Yemen managed to cut three maritime optical Internet cables connecting Europe and Asia.
As the expert noted, cable damage was recorded in the Red Sea between Jeddah and Djibouti.
“Three submarine cables were cut: AAE-1, EIG and SEACOM/TGN -Eurasia. We confirm that the Houthis have cut cables in Yemeni waters,” said Sunil Tagari.
He also added that the accident hit telecommunications activities in the Gulf countries and India the hardest.
