SOCHI, February 27Four residents of the Krasnodar Territory received from 5.5 to 8 years in prison for selling other people's land plots in Sochi for more than 58 million rubles, they reported in the joint press service of the Kuban courts.
The court found that in 2019, a resident of Sochi, having developed a scheme for selling plots using forged documents, involved other accomplices in it. The defendants were looking for land plots, which they sold to “their” people for a monetary reward using forged documents, and then to other buyers. Thus, to obtain the passport information of one of the land owners, the attackers initiated a flower delivery, during which the land owner was asked to present her passport and take a photo to receive the bouquet. The woman took a photo with her passport, after which her land plot was sold for 15 million rubles. Using a similar scheme, the defendants sold three plots of land in Sochi.
In 2021, their activities were stopped by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service in the Krasnodar Territory, and a criminal case was opened against four participants in the conspiracy under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), one of the defendants was accused, among other things, under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (appropriation and embezzlement of someone else's property).
«The court found the defendants guilty. Depending on the role of each in committing crimes, they were sentenced to 5.5 to 8 years in prison. They must serve their sentences in strict and general regime colonies,» — says the Telegram channel of the press service of the regional courts.
The court also satisfied the claims of the victims, the total amount of material damage exceeded 58 million rubles.
