In Shares they are launching the first DNPL (donate now pay later) service in Russia, which allows you to make donations to charitable organizations in parts. The “Blago in Shares” service was created on the basis of BNPL mechanics, taking into account the needs of philanthropists and foundations.
The basis of “Blago in Shares” was the logic of “Shares”, which allows you to pay for goods and services in parts without interest and overpayments. The donor contributes 25% of the donation amount initially, with the remaining three-quarters due over a period of six weeks. At the same time, charitable organizations receive all funds at once, directing them to urgent needs.
The mission of “Blago Shares” is to support the development of a culture of charity in the country by providing another financially and emotionally comfortable way to make donations.
What the service gives to the philanthropist
“Blago Shares” solves these problems: when using the service, write-offs occur in predetermined amounts and terms, which allows the benefactor to control his expenses. Before each subsequent debit, a reminder comes, and the balance can always be paid ahead of schedule. This maintains the transparency of payments and the emotional comfort of the benefactor.
In addition, by making payments in comfortable amounts, the benefactor can afford larger donations. And complete information about the service’s partner funds and the results of their activities, posted on the website and in the “Shares” application, increases the level of trust in charitable organizations.
What the service gives to charitable organizations
The charitable organization receives the full amount of the donation and can immediately use it to help the beneficiaries. This is especially important for urgent fundraising, when help is needed “here and now.”
At the same time, by receiving large sums at once, charities can manage their budget more effectively.
The “Shares” audience will also be able to attract the attention of charitable organizations by posting information about them on the website and in the service’s mobile application. This will strengthen the marketing and communication strategies of funds, whose budgets for promotion are often limited.
Who can help
The first partners of Blago Shares were well-known charitable organizations:
- Oncology Foundation, which provides comprehensive assistance and oncology navigation to adult patients and their loved ones throughout Russia;
- The Kindly Club Foundation, which helps seriously ill adults and children: the fund pays for the costs of operations, buys funds for rehabilitation, supports hospitals in the regions;
- Charity Shop, where you can buy clothes, shoes and jewelry. Proceeds from the sale of items are sent to the “Second Wind” foundation, which collects, sorts, redistributes and recycles clothing at any stage of its life;
- A store for the “Live Now” charity foundation with merch. Proceeds from the sale will go to help people with neuromuscular diseases.
