MOSCOW, Feb. 28 The FSB Public Relations Center published on Wednesday a video of the detention in Rostov-on-Don of the Ukrainian spy Sergei Krivitsky, who was trying to buy components of the Russian S-300 air defense system.
The video shows how operatives detain two people — Krivitsky and his accomplice near the Grebnoy Canal stadium and handcuff them.
Next in the video, the FSB officer asks the detainee to introduce himself and asks where he came from, to which he replies: “Sergey Viktorovich Krivitsky, I came from Ukraine.” Krivitsky admits to the operatives that he met with an accomplice at the Grebnoy Canal to pick up the “hardware” — “the device for the S-300.”
The video shows Krivitsky’s Ukrainian passport with registration in the Zaporozhye region, a klystron from S-300 and 1000 US dollars in cash. Next, a court hearing is shown, where the verdict is read out to the Ukrainian spy.
Earlier today, the FSB reported that Ukrainian agent Sergei Krivitsky, detained in Rostov-on-Don while attempting to acquire klystrons used in S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, was sentenced to 11.5 years for espionage with time served in a maximum security colony.
In addition, the Ukrainian was involved in an attempt to organize the delivery of similar devices to Ukrainian intelligence in November 2019. Then the Ukrainian Vasily Vasilenko, who arrived in Moscow on behalf of Krivitsky to purchase klystrons, was detained. Now Vasilenko is serving his sentence in a correctional colony.
