MOSCOW, February 28Soyuzmultfilm will hold master classes and film screenings for participants in the World Youth Festival, in particular, actor Ivan Okhlobystin, in whose voice postman Pechkin speaks, will talk about the process of dubbing cartoons, the press service of the film studio reported.

Thematic games, master classes, film screenings and quest based on the history and modernity of one of the largest Russian film studios. In addition, young participants in the events will have the opportunity to create their own cartoon.
Special guests of the series of events will also share their experience and knowledge with the participants. Slashcheva will hold a discussion on how the development of technology is changing cinema and animation, and the general director of the film studio, Boris Mashkovtsev, will give a lecture “The Hidden Meanings of Cartoons,” and actor Ivan Okhlobystin, in whose voice the postman Pechkin speaks, will talk about the process of dubbing cartoons.
“Our animation is rich in images, plots, techniques that have long become part of world culture, and getting to know it in educational and game formats will help festival guests from different countries learn more about our country. The language of cartoons is understandable in all corners of our planet, so participation in Soyuzmultfilm events are a wonderful opportunity to unite and create together!” said the chairman of the board of directors of the film studio, Yuliana Slashcheva, as quoted by the press service.
According to her, from March 2 to 6, a five-day intensive animation course will be held on the territory of the Festival for participants in the children's educational program, which will be conducted by invited teachers from the film studio.
Special film screenings will also be organized for participants and volunteers. Thus, in the “Cinema Hall” zone on Medalnaya Square, classic and modern films of “Soyuzmultfilm” will be broadcast with subtitles. Viewers will see such films as “The Snow Queen”, “Crocodile Gena”, “Mitten”, “Suvorov. The Great Journey”, “Chink: The Tailed Detective”.
The festival guests will also be offered a game quest excursion. Players will receive tasks from cartoon characters and learn facts from the history of animation.
The World Youth Festival will be held from March 1 to 7 in the federal territory of Sirius by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The festival has 20 thousand participants, half of them are foreigners. As the head of the federal territory Sirius Dmitry Plishkin said, preparations for the festival are almost complete, the authorities are awaiting guests and participants of a major world event.
