    The court has set a date for considering the appeal against the sentence of Igor Strelkov

    MOSCOW, April 10 On May 15, the First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction will consider an appeal against the 4-year sentence of former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov (Girkin) in the case of public calls for extremism, said his lawyer Alexander Molokhov.
    ““Consideration of the appeal against the verdict is scheduled for May 15, at 14.00,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
    At the end of January, the Moscow City Court sentenced Strelkov to 4 years in a general regime colony and banned him from administering websites for 3 years. The hearings were held behind closed doors.

    Strelkov was charged with public calls for extremist activities on the Internet due to two posts on Telegram; he pleaded not guilty. He was detained on July 21, 2023, and arrested on the same day.
