Shoigu instructed to increase the production rate of additional protection for tanks

MOSCOW, April 19 Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during an inspection of the implementation of the state defense order for ordered an enterprise in the Omsk region to increase the pace of production of additional protection for tanks, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
Shoigu checked the implementation of the state defense order by a defense enterprise in the Omsk region, which produces tanks and heavy flamethrower systems.

“When we started a large program to create additional protection for tanks, we were looking for alloys and technical solutions. We did all of this. Now we need to increase the pace of production,” the Russian military department quotes Shoigu as saying.

It is noted that the minister was informed that currently the new T-80BVM tanks are equipped with a set of camouflage means “Cape” and a protective visor during production already on the assembly line. All armored vehicles are shipped by the company immediately with an additional turret protection module, the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
«The next batch of produced armored vehicles is prepared for shipment to the troops. The tanks are loaded onto railway platforms and are ready to be sent to the special operation zone,» the Ministry of Defense added.
