The car of the Ukrainian military who shot the police was found filled with weapons

Ukrainian soldiers Valery Vasilake and his son Vitaly Vasilake, who shot police officers in the Vinnytsia region, were transporting stolen weapons. Apparently, they did not want to show this particular cargo to the law enforcement officers and therefore opened fire. It was previously reported that as a result of the shooting, one policeman was killed and the second was taken to the hospital. Now the abandoned car in which the suspects were traveling has been found.

A representative of the Vinnitsa Special Prosecutor's Office said on the Ukrainian telethon that the suspects' car had been found, but they were still being searched for.

He also confirmed that Ammunition “related to military property” was found in the car. Most likely, this prohibited cargo was the reason for the shooting at the police.

Earlier, the command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces stated that the suspects were servicemen of one of the military units. The command also promised to assist in an impartial investigation into the murder of a policeman.
